👋🏾

Hey, I'm Kortney. I'm a Software Engineer at PagerDuty, building full-stack features in React/TypeScript and Elixir. On the side I design and ship end to end — whether that's a production-grade marketing site and storefront for a creator, or a full platform across iOS, web, and API built solo. Architecture-first, built to last.

About Me

After earning my degree in Information Technology, I started out as a TIBCO developer at Synovus Financial Corp, then spent time as a fullstack developer at Aspirion before moving into product engineering at PrizePicks. At doxo I was a Senior Software Engineer owning and scaling the APIs powering 10M+ subscriptions, then shipped Go microservices on a senior contract at U.S. Bank. Today I'm a Software Engineer at PagerDuty on the Growth Engineering team, building full-stack features in React/TypeScript and Elixir.

I work architecture-first. I care about the shape of the system underneath: observability, CI/CD, resilience, and the boring fundamentals that keep software alive in production. I'm comfortable across Elixir, Go, Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript, and I've spent most of my career close to the systems that actually carry load. Lately I've paired that with growth engineering — funnel instrumentation, feature flags and phased rollouts, activation and conversion analysis — so I can prove what a system actually does for the people using it.

On the side, I build for creators and small businesses: headless commerce, production-grade marketing sites, and full-stack web applications from the ground up. What makes it different is the same production engineering discipline I use at work: tests in CI, performance budgets, real CSPs, observability. Brought to projects that are usually handed templates. Not fancier, just built to last.
