Hey, I'm Kortney. I'm a Software Engineer at PagerDuty, building full-stack features in React/TypeScript and Elixir. On the side I design and ship end to end — whether that's a production-grade marketing site and storefront for a creator, or a full platform across iOS, web, and API built solo. Architecture-first, built to last.
About Me
After earning my degree in Information Technology, I started out as a TIBCO developer at Synovus Financial Corp, then spent time as a fullstack developer at Aspirion before moving into product engineering at PrizePicks. At doxo I was a Senior Software Engineer owning and scaling the APIs powering 10M+ subscriptions, then shipped Go microservices on a senior contract at U.S. Bank. Today I'm a Software Engineer at PagerDuty on the Growth Engineering team, building full-stack features in React/TypeScript and Elixir.
I work architecture-first. I care about the shape of the system underneath: observability, CI/CD, resilience, and the boring fundamentals that keep software alive in production. I'm comfortable across Elixir, Go, Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript, and I've spent most of my career close to the systems that actually carry load. Lately I've paired that with growth engineering — funnel instrumentation, feature flags and phased rollouts, activation and conversion analysis — so I can prove what a system actually does for the people using it.
On the side, I build for creators and small businesses: headless commerce, production-grade marketing sites, and full-stack web applications from the ground up. What makes it different is the same production engineering discipline I use at work: tests in CI, performance budgets, real CSPs, observability. Brought to projects that are usually handed templates. Not fancier, just built to last.
My Projects

- Roasters-on-bar & brew method metadata
- On-device geofencing for proximity alerts
- Universal Links & unified deep link router

Stack
AllieCat Cosplay
Production-grade headless storefront and portfolio site for a creator-led cosplay brand, replacing a legacy Squarespace site with a custom stack built for performance, SEO, and editorial quality.

- Graceful degradation so no external service can hard-fail the site
- Production observability, monitoring, and analytics: Sentry, GoatCounter, Lighthouse and bundle budgets, and a Playwright E2E suite in CI
My Experience
Synovus Financial Corp
TIBCO Developer
Columbus, GA
Built and maintained SOAP APIs on the Middleware Integration team. First professional dev role, cut my teeth on enterprise Java and the realities of shipping to production.
Aspirion Health Resources
Junior Software Engineer
Columbus, GA
One of two fullstack developers owning everything from automation scripts to WordPress. Stretched across the stack, picked up modern dev habits, and fell in love with the work again.
PrizePicks
Mid-level Software Engineer
Atlanta, GA
Backend product engineering on Rails and Go at a high-growth sports betting startup. Deepened my backend craft and got serious about building for scale.
doxo
Senior Software Engineer
Bellevue, WA
Owned and scaled the Subscriptions Platform API powering 10M+ subscriptions, and co-led the Credit & Identity Platform API. Learned to think like a systems engineer, not just a feature developer.
U.S. Bank
Senior Software Engineer (Contract)
Atlanta, GA
Short, high-impact contract shipping core functionality for new Go microservices end-to-end through QA in roughly 60 days.
PagerDuty
Software Engineer II
Atlanta, GA
Growth Engineering. Own the chat-connection step in responder onboarding and the instrumentation behind it — closing the tracking gap that left onboarding conversion unmeasurable, and building the observability layer for the insights delivery pipeline.
